Remember those hopes you had of the Huawei Watch being sold at a price which wouldn’t make you gnaw your fingers off? Yeah, well, shelve them, because the smartwatch with the ‘timeless design’ has popped up on an official Amazon DE listing for an eye watering €999, a number which translates to £717. That’s more than a little pricy for the handsome smart watch, and would likely keep most sane human beings from reaching for their wallets. That being said, if Huawei are pitching at a premium audience, they’ve certainly picked a premium price. In case you’ve forgotten, the Huawei Watch runs Android Wear and features a circular sapphire crystal 1.4″ AMOLED display (286 ppi), 4GB of internal storage, 512MB of RAM, an unnamed Qualcomm 1.2GHz, a six-axis motion sensor, Bluetooth LE and a heart rate monitor. The watch also comes with over 40 custom watch faces designed by Huawei, in case you find Google Play’s selection of faces constrictive in any sense. As before, we await some of the more crucial details (like clarification on the actual price, battery life and availability), but we’ll keep you updated as we go. UPDATE: MobileFun have the device up at £300 for the silver and black options, and the £350 for the gold option.
